I'm still under a big haze of morphine and valium and lots of pain but just wanted to take a moment to say hello and to let you know 7 days out of surgery I'm still here trying to get stronger every day. It's way more pain than I ever expected so I definitely suggest you dont try this at home kiddies.
I also wanted to give a big big thank you for all the flowers, balloons, cards, meals, donations and visits in the hospital and at home. You guys definitely at some points filled my room at GW to capacity and never let me forget your presence. Your well wishes literally get me through the day when all I might want to do is cry and be depressed. I hope I can at some point thank you all individually but you know who you are and now I know how much you love me.
Healing is slow going but I'm doing better than expected according to doctors. A detailed medical update will be sent soon but for now time for more meds and a nap. :)
